The Australian Automobile Association says a new service will be available by the end of April that allows owners of electric vehicles to charge at their homes.
The new service, called Charge Your Home, allows customers to request a private charging station that can be used by other home customers.
“Charge Your Home provides a convenient option for people to request the private charging service at their home, without having to be a customer of the charging service provider,” a spokesperson said.
“The service allows the person requesting the service to charge the car at their own home without having a customer at their door.”
The service is free, but customers will have to pay a $2 fee.
“When using Charge Your Holes, customers will be able to set up a private, charging service with their home charging provider, as well as set up the charging facility at their local garage, or home park,” the AAA said.
