By Mike Zawislak The Associated Press NHL player Kyle Quincey has been charged with the second-dishonor of the home invasion killing of a Texas man.
Quinceys mother, Patricia Quince, is also charged.
The arrest warrant affidavit filed Tuesday in San Antonio shows Quinceies attorney, Kevin T. Sautner, will provide the court with an affidavit of probable cause and a copy of a warrant for Quinceyds arrest.
Authorities said Quinceie, who was arrested Wednesday in San Francisco, has a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
He is expected to enter a not guilty plea.
Authorities say Quinceyer’s arrest comes on the heels of an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department.
Quirey was one of six people arrested and charged with murder, burglary and conspiracy after the Jan. 3 slaying of Richard Allen, who had been visiting his mother in Dallas, Texas.
Authorities allege Quinceypay had been drinking and took part in a robbery.
He has pleaded not guilty.
The home invasion happened on the evening of Jan. 2, and Allen was shot in the back of the head.
Authorities have said Quireys home is a drug-fuelled hideout for drug dealers.
Quiring is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
