ikeahatch.com is launching in New Jersey, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2019, according to a post on the company’s website.
ikeashore.com and ikeastore.blogspot.com will launch on the same day, the company said.
This is the first of several announcements coming from the company, which aims to help people who want to stay connected to their favorite places and products, but who don’t want to buy and install their own gear.
In New Jersey and Los Angles, ikeachatch.co will launch to connect people to stores and restaurants, while ikeavail.com in New Orleans will provide the same kind of service in the Big Easy.
“I hope that we can help people find the place that is right for them and their family, whether it is for a trip to Hawaii, or they are looking for something special for their kids,” ikeafoundation.com CEO Scott Wray said in a statement.
It’s unclear how many ikeatas are available in the states.
The company said it plans to offer a similar service in Chicago in the coming months.
Ikea also has a partnership with Spotify, which is offering a free trial for ikeats and a one-time free trial in the United Kingdom.
