The Uhaul mobile phone service provider has apologised after one of its customers contacted the media to complain about being referred to as “Uhaul” when calling to call customers.
Uhaul customer services spokesperson, Mark Worsley, said the “miscommunication” was “an oversight” and would be rectified.
“The mistake was an oversight, and a number of people contacted us to express concerns about the ‘Uhaul’ moniker,” Mr Worsly said.
He said it was “not uncommon” for customers to call to tell uhaul they were calling from their home phone number, rather than their mobile phone number.
The service was originally launched in July 2014, and it was the first phone service to allow calls from home, rather that calling from the landline.
